Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • 3 years of experience in content policy, anti-abuse and reviewing online content.
  • 3 years of experience influencing and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • 3 years of experience working with business analytics or data analysis.
  • Experience in SQL, Python, or R.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD.
  • Experience using statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
  • Experience working on product policy analysis and identifying policy risks.
  • Experience in working with abuse, spam, fraud or malware.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional, multi- quarter, visibility trust projects. Analyze and debug escalations and identify trends that can indicate bigger product risks.
  • Use technical judgment to drive project delivery, challenge proposals and identify risks. Manage multiple interdependent projects of moderate to complexity, manage cross-functional teams with limited guidance and own solutions for areas within your scope.
  • Collaborate with other teams and Perform data analysis that helps identify and fight abuse across our products.
  • Drive usage and adoption of AI efforts for effective abuse by identifying opportunities to reduce, catch abuse or improve quality of decision making.
  • Review sensitive content and perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage as needed.
