Senior Technical Program Manager, Search, Security Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, prioritization, communication and influencing skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent complex interactions with geographically disparate teams.
  • Excellent skills influencing and delivering solutions in a highly complex, always changing environment.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will serve as a strategic leader working to scale our underlying programs aligned to Search’s security. You will be responsible for leading cross-organizational engineering programs to achieve ambitious organizational and technical challenges. You will identify and navigate security risks and optimize the program to best achieve product, platform and user goals, and ensure governance across the Search ecosystem.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive clarity and strategic decisions with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide clear communication and visibility on progress, dependencies, and risks to engineering teams and leadership.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and security leadership to define, shape, and evolve the long-term security roadmap and strategy for Search.
  • Apply deep technical, business, and program management expertise to identify, assess, track, and mitigate security risks across Search products and infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement scalable frameworks for proactive security risk management, streamline processes to accelerate execution, and build efficiencies.
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and land impactful changes for the organization's security needs.
