Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting.
  • Experience managing relationships and working cross-functionally within global organizations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • 2 years of experience creating complex data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the “big picture" to executive teams, while maintaining exceptional attention to execution details.
  • Outstanding program management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

About the job

This role sits within our Global Business Strategy and Operations team, responsible for providing insightful review, perspective, and direction on the strategy and operating performance of Google’s Global Business Organization.

GBS&O is part of the Global Go-to-Market (GTM) organization that ensures Google's complex business is pursuing the best strategy and executing flawlessly. Team members are experts in business strategy and operations - analytical and strategic, yet highly pragmatic and results-oriented.

As a Strategy & Operations Lead of the Chief of Staff for GBO/GTM, you will be responsible for increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of key decisions and making sure the team stays on top of its annual goals. You will partner closely with teams across GTM and GBO as well as cross-functionally with a varied set of stakeholders including Finance, PeopleOps, and others. This is a great opportunity to apprentice with and learn from senior leaders and work with them to address both the top challenges and opportunities for our business, and be in the “room where it happens” when decisions are made.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Support the development and track progress of GBO/GTM’s annual OKRs and priorities throughout the year.
  • Manage the team operations including budget, headcount, and annual planning.
  • Manage the cadence and agenda for executive meetings, and support executive communications and engagements with the team. Communicate findings to senior leadership by preparing polished presentations and identifying key takeaways.   
  • Be able to project manage priorities, initiatives, and program manage efforts on behalf of the GBO/GTM leadership.
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, People Operations, Marketing, and Communications teams to scope, manage and execute strategic projects.
