Strategy and Operation Planning Lead, Google Cloud (Japanese, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or project management in a technology/media/finance company.
  • Experience in extracting and analyzing data sets to develop insights and recommendations.
  • Experience in enterprise/Business-to-Business (B2B) technology/cloud sales.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently as the role requires interactions in English and Japanese at fluent level and with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of integrated Go-To-Market in Enterprise software, with experience working with sales at B2B technology organizations.
  • Ability to be comfortable with ambiguity, competing priorities, and working effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to synthesize data and drive executive-level insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence, with ability to create relationships at all levels.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.

About the job

The Google Cloud Sales Strategy and Operations team plays an important role in Google Cloud, acting as trusted advisors to the Sales Organization, partnering with Sales, Customer Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Partners, and the Professional Sales Organization to plan, strategize, and run the business.

As the Japan Go-To-Market Strategy and Operation Planning Lead for Google Cloud, you will drive the business forward by developing strategy, insight, and structure to accelerate growth and scale the business. You will identify and lead initiatives to deliver value to the business, including conducting analysis, developing recommendations, and crafting execution plans. You will work holistically and collaboratively across North American leadership and the broader Google Cloud organization to align on decisions, drive implementation, and measure results.

As part of Google Cloud Sales Strategy and Operations, you'll partner closely with sales leadership to design strategies and build recommendations based on a data-driven approach. You’ll work with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders to build alignment and generate results. In this role, you’ll acquire a deep understanding of our business and will enable the regional teams with best practices, insights, and processes to execute consistently at scale. You’ll play a key role in shaping the direction of an exciting, high-growth business and will see the direct impact of your work across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales leadership to develop the organization’s strategy and business plan, and become part of the leadership team as a trusted advisor.
  • Work with cross-functional organizations within Google Cloud to drive alignment, collaborate on execution, and achieve business goals.
  • Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing plans, gathering and synthesizing data, leading analyses, and developing recommendations.
  • Drive the Internal Comms team responsible for creating content for the VP for internal events. Shape and guide Internal Comms strategy for APAC leadership in partnership with Internal and External Comms and Global Executive Operations teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on topics as per the VP request to engage on, including helping to prep talking points for meetings, thinking through business priorities (e.g. OKRs), discussing talent management and/or helping develop longer term strategy.
