Data Analytics Customer Engineer (Japanese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., pre-sales engineer, consultant, professional services).
  • Experience in data management Business Intelligence Application (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), Data Processing (e.g., Informatica), or Analytics Platform (e.g., Hadoop/Spark, Netezza, Teradata).
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, other technical fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with application development and integration, with software integration with Web API.
  • Experience supporting sales for enterprise as pre-sales engineer for wide portfolio of data lifecycle.
  • Experience discussing the value of machine learning with customers.

In this role, you will work with Sales teams as a data analytics solutions subject matter expert to differentiate and paint the vision of Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud with translating technical value to business value, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential roadblocks related to analytics workloads and projects. You will craft the vision to transform customer business with the power of data, using Google Cloud’s unique technology (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Data Catalog etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with our customers, identify customer priorities, discover the needs of data powered innovation, create the story to transform customer’s business using data, technical objections, and design strategies encompassing Google Cloud’s Data solutions to deliver business value and resolve blockers.
  • Support the team which helps enterprise customers for their digitalization with Google Cloud, supporting bid response, product and solution briefing, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of regional partners, focusing on translating technical value to business value.
  • Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers and partners to optimize Google Cloud effectiveness.
  • Drive consumption for Google Cloud data products with value based discovery for our customers.
  • Travel to customer sites and conferences, as needed.
