Social Media Marketing Manager, YouTube Marketing (Spanish, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in marketing (e.g., growth, performance, direct response, social, digital, cloud, events, etc.) .
  • Experience working cross-functionally with various stakeholders and teams.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently with stakeholders, teams and external agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience scaling paid boosting programs by translating global strategies into local execution across multiple platforms, optimizing real-time content amplification to maximize reach and audience engagement.
  • Experience in crisis management and risk assessment on social platforms.
  • Proficiency in storytelling and articulating key brand messages to target audiences.
  • Knowledge of internet culture, trends, and creators.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends, present key findings, and apply insights to future programs.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

As a Creative in Marketing, you bring visual, design, written and experiential acumen to Google products and services, presented across all major media, content, channels, and experiences. You have the ability to perform your role in a flexible, ever-changing environment and must be open to new influences and inspiration. You will work with a deeply cross-functional team and inspire a team of vendor partners by sharing ideas and developing effective solutions to generate multiple concepts supporting all forms of major media. You will be equally comfortable making; rolling up your sleeves and designing, mocking, writing, or prototyping; showing, not telling. Above all, you will inspire and lead by example by making the most of every opportunity to develop breakthrough creative, consistent with the Google Marketing brand, and be able to take and provide clear direction and creative feedback that pushes work forward.

As a Social Marketing Manager for YouTube, you will represent the brand, translating business objectives into social media strategies that build communities and drive brand love. You will manage local strategy and execution, accounting for specific local nuances while aligning with broader regional and global strategies.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing local channels and community engagement, including leading the response to local crises and executing culturally relevant calendar moments. Working with minimal assistance, you will adapt and adopt global best practices, inventing new approaches where required by local insights. You will collaborate cross-functionally to integrate social into medium- to large-scale marketing campaigns and ensure our content connects authentically with users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a local 'always on' editorial social media strategies and campaigns that account for local nuance, adapting global/regional best practices, analyzing social trends and inventing new approaches where required by local insights.
  • Execute local social media campaigns driven by deep local insights, ensuring content and messaging align with brand standards and user needs and scale programs to increase reach and engagement.
  • Manage local channels and community engagement, including overseeing local crisis response and executing local calendar moments.
  • Align local initiatives with regional strategy, providing input on regional prioritization and approving global activation of local initiatives.
  • Elevate local insights, campaign results, learnings, and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) reporting to regional and global social and product area teams to inform future strategies.
