- Experience with network architecture or infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with subsea cables or subsea landing stations.
- Experience in network security software engineering.
- Ability to be an influential member of an integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
- Excellent investigative and quantitative skills, with the ability to report on process improvements, issues, and program highlights.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Global Submarine Networks (GSN) team plans, builds, and operates the subsea network used by Google to provide products and services. This international team collaborates with internal stakeholders and suppliers to create construction agreements, oversee the delivery of each cable system, then operate and maintain that infrastructure for high reliability and security. The Strategy Operations team is a group within GSN responsible for Submarine infrastructure program management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$161,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Transform data from subsea cable and cable landing station programs into insights through the development and implementation of advanced data analytics and visualization tools.
- Monitor and communicate progress, and risks of infrastructure projects through the use of data, propose mitigation plans, and align stakeholders on de-risking strategies.
- Measure and publish program and process metrics to drive consensus in teams’ understanding of issues, and to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Establish data visualization systems to identify improvements in processes, products, or services through measurement of performance, progress, and success metrics.
- Collaborate with vendors and partner teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and optimizations.
