As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Global Network Delivery (GND) manages infrastructure and campus network planning, B4, cluster fabric network and ML deployments, new technology integrations, physical network infrastructure data management and software portfolio management.
Compute/Data Center Networking (DCNet) Delivery manages data center deployment programs/projects, including data center and colocation facility turn-ups, turndowns, expansions, refactors, and new technology pilots.
In this role, you will plan and deliver network infrastructure when it's needed within the most efficient cycle time. You will guide operational excellence through innovation and simplicity. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead the design of current-state and future-state process maps (value stream maps, swimlanes) to identify bottlenecks in the technical delivery workflow.
- Define and maintain the operating procedures, playbooks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required to ensure consistent, defect-free execution across the network delivery chain.
- Define, track, and iterate on critical performance metrics, including lead time, throughput, Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence, and rework rates.
- Facilitate workshops to collect pain points from cross-functional teams and lead the communication strategy to guide the adoption of new process changes.
- Partner with leadership to guide and manage the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) process.
