Program Manager III, NPI Business Strategy and Operations, Supply Chain

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in launching Hardware New Product Introduction processes for electronics (e.g., Server, racks, L6, L10 and L11 manufacturing).
  • Experience driving operational initiatives for executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and fast-paced hardware development environments.
  • Experience in Operations, Strategy, or Product Operations roles with core responsibilities of building relationships and in leading complex strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Experience with Hardware and Supply chain Infrastructure, Cloud, Enterprise/B2B Businesses.
  • Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional partners.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager III, you will be leading for large cross-functional programs within New Product Introduction (NPI) Hardware Manufacturing and Product Operations to deliver solutions for sustained and consistent NPI processes across many different Cloud NPI portfolios. You will focus on areas for improvement: NPI operational excellence, time to market, logistics, value efficiency, and Supply Chain Resiliency.

In this role, you will enable Cloud Supply Chain NPI operational imperatives of improved predictability, reduced time to market, increased cost and inventory oversight, and reduced product and portfolio risk.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance, HR and partner Strategic Operations teams to drive headcount efficiency and related costs. Influence, and enable global staffing plans (e.g., site and levelling strategies) for product operation organization through balancing Supply Chain Blueprint and staffing requirements.
  • Lead critical process improvement projects based on emergent NPI business needs. Hardware/Manufacturing and NPI knowledge is required to develop structure, recommendations and analyses to execute on plans. Work collaboratively with NPI and Test and Integration partners to deliver results.
  • Drive critical product operation Portfolio initiatives and key performance improvements by working collaboratively with the Product Operation Organization.
  • Deliver a consistent strategic narrative across all components of the business through scaled communications, organization-wide mail, and executive communication.
  • Establish and lead operating processes for effectively managing the organization including process optimization and developing operations metrics.
