Policy Enforcement Manager, Trust & Safety, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, cybersecurity, program management, sales operations, management consulting, vendor management, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL and data analysis to identify trends and make recommendations.
  • Experience in content policy, anti-abuse, and reviewing online content.
  • Ability working with with cross-functional partners across geographies, with strong influencing and communication skills to drive strategy and business action.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems across cross-functional teams.

Fast-paced, dynamic, and proactive, YouTube’s Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making YouTube a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators around the world to belong, create, and express themselves. Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.

As a Policy Enforcement Manager for the Live, Cross Policy (XPOL), and New Products team, you will be part of a tight knit, global team with exposure across all of Trust & Safety’s verticals, as well as a close partnership with YouTube feature product teams. In this role, you will also oversee Operations for several products as part of our ‘XPOL’ business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Enforcement & Operations Management for YouTube Livestream and YouTube’s “Cross Policy” workflows.
  • Handle escalations with a fast turn-around time to define the best plan and provide timely updates to executives.
  • Partner with teams across Product, Business Analysts, Vendor Operations, and Engineering to solve complex problems and drive innovations.
  • Proactively identify automation and efficiency opportunities using data-driven strategies. Define, measure, and execute projects that result in significant process improvements. 
  • Review graphic, controversial and offensive video content in-line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
