Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.
  • Experience with project management, cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influencing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in project management methodologies and managing complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence project life-cycle, with specific specialization in projects involving capabilities and agentic systems.
  • Experience working with engineering, product management, research, and design teams to drive projects from conception to launch.
  • Experience building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate technical challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Ability to interpret technical data, performance metrics, and results to make informed project decisions.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate large-scale Cross-Product Areas and cross-product group workstreams in agentic experiences, ensuring alignment with broader product and AI integration goals across Platforms and Devices.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to create new and innovative agentic experiences that leverage AI for automation, providing users with predictive and proactive support.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitate frequent executive reviews, and accelerate the adoption of agentive experiences across product teams.
  • Drive the execution of large technical roadmaps, aligning projects with the broader AI strategy.
  • Drive the large-scale, Cross-Product Areas, and cross-product Software Engineering Agents workstream, ensuring alignment with broader product and AI integration goals across Platforms and Devices.
