Technical Scaled Delivery Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience analyzing data and generating business insights.
  • 7 years of experience developing operational process solutions, and working with cross-functional teams to drive these changes.
  • 5 years of experience in either software engineering, product management, engineering program management, technical account management, sales engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in internet technologies (e.g., HTTP, TCP/IP, C/C++, JAVA, Python, Perl, XML, HTML, JavaScript, or Unix/Linux).

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certification in Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
  • 7 years of experience using data analysis to drive decision making.
  • 5 years of experience in systems design or coding in a general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, etc.).
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and translating technical concepts for non-technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience working with internal gTech Ads tech stacks (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Borg, PLX).

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ads products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media and technical solutions for customers’ business and marketing needs. We provide technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized solutions to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clients and Sales. Rapidly master new product stacks and explain technical trade-offs to ensure stakeholder alignment and solution implementation.
  • Lead outsourced technical operations. Hold vendor partners accountable for technical SLAs, quality, and compliance. Manage the full vendor life-cycle, prioritizing the evaluation of a partner's technical capabilities.
  • Use technical knowledge to analyze operational data, identify root causes, and advocate innovation through AI, automation, and solution reuse. Drive technical improvements to boost efficiency and customer experience.
  • Serve as the technical and operational bridge between business stakeholders and vendor teams. Translate high-level business goals into clear, executable technical operation plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Finance) to manage program status, actively mitigate technical risks, and swiftly resolve technical escalations to ensure program stability.
