Minimum qualifications:

- 3 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases, or statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- 4 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases, or statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree.
- Experience applying generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) to data analysis problems for data generation, enrichment, or scaled processing.

As part of this team you fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Internal Audit's mission is to focus on reducing risk across Alphabet. We monitor the risk environment across Alphabet and provide insights to enable risk management. We work with teams and leadership to achieve a control environment that enhances and protects organizational value. We serve as one of the company’s lines of defense for staffing and developing our team to be control experts who deliver results. As a member of the team, you will advise the business and engineering groups to identify areas of risk and make recommendations on controls. You will influence change and decisions for business initiatives, including product launches and system implementations. You will work in an environment, engage with technology, and focus on issues and the details that come with it.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Partner with business, technology, and privacy and security auditors, and work with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, operations, and finance to identify and quantify risk and evaluate controls.
- Analyze product, infrastructure, and financial data for patterns including abuse, fraud, brand risk, control breakdown, and regulatory non-compliance, and calibrate and convey findings to stakeholders.
- Develop infrastructure to support analyses and automate audit procedures.
- Influence teams towards data-informed decision-making and problem-solving.
