Group Product Manager, Storage

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
  • 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.
  • Experience in Cloud storage and the overall public cloud ecosystem including customer requirements, market trends, competitive positioning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience in product management leadership, specifically within cloud infrastructure or enterprise software.
  • Experience launching "0 to 1" products or significantly scaling enterprise cloud services at a global level.
  • Technical understanding of modern storage architectures, file systems, and the data requirements of large-scale computing environments (e.g., AI/ML, Big Data).
  • Ability to lead and scale product teams, navigating complex environments and influencing stakeholders across the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling value propositions for executive leadership and customers.

In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution of high-performance storage services designed for demanding workloads. You will sit at the heart of Google Cloud’s infrastructure, driving the development of scalable storage solutions. Your role involves identifying market opportunities, defining technical requirements, and leading product initiatives to deliver a seamless and industry-leading storage experience for global enterprise customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $240,000-$334,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for high-performance storage solutions on Google Cloud, ensuring alignment with evolving market needs and internal infrastructure capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver integrated storage services that meet the demands of large-scale AI and enterprise customers.
  • Drive product-market fit by gathering deep technical requirements from customers and translating them into prioritized feature sets and long-term product outlook.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial concept and development to go-to-market strategy and global launch.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and solutions architecture teams to develop technical collateral, pricing models, and competitive positioning for the storage portfolio.
