Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in the IT industry, including 5 years of experience in the cloud industry.
- Experience building partner ecosystems for partners, mid-tier integrators, cloud integrators, specialized boutique partners, and global system integrators.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience delivering Go-To-Market strategies and results.
- Experience with the cloud ecosystem and presenting to executive audiences.
- Experience and existing relationships with partners in the specific market being covered.
- Technical knowledge of cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of System Integrators/Service Providers, Independent Software Vendors, and public cloud solutions across Software/Platform/Infrastructure-as-a-Service.
- Excellent communication skills.

Google Cloud teams work with schools, companies, and government agencies to make them more productive, mobile, and collaborative. On this team, you will drive Google Cloud business relationships by analyzing partner business performance, identifying methods of increasing partner and Google returns, pitching ideas to and identifying opportunities within partners, and coordinating across Google teams to deliver. You will educate our partners on the power of Google Cloud and enable them to be successful in driving innovation to our customers.
As a Partner Development Manager, you'll be responsible for recruitment, growth, and creation of new practice areas and offerings for the ecosystem of named partners in Japan. You'll create and manage executive relationships with existing and new partners, offering them strategic advice and thought leadership. You'll also develop close relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Partner Engineers, Field Sales Representatives, and Customer Engineers, to grow the relevance and impact of assigned partners to the Google Cloud Business.

Responsibilities
- Manage business performance of partners, map partner capabilities, and priorities to meet/exceed quarterly goals. Drive quarterly business reviews with key service partners and Google leadership.
- Drive partner value propositions to the Partner Development Manager (solution focused) teams.
- Drive executive connections with regional sales leadership and partner leadership.
- Help partners grow their practice and product portfolio through joint development of solutions and services. Develop and provide custom presentations on Google Cloud Platform technologies to partners to help them scale our joint business.
- Drive partners to build a sourced pipeline and ensure pipeline tracking accuracy and health.
