Field Sales Manager, Data Analytics, Google Cloud (English, Korean)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in data analytics.
  • 7 years of experience managing a team of sellers.
  • Experience in sales, delivering Data and Analytics software or solutions.
  • Experience planning, pitching, and executing a territory sales strategy and sales programs, and developing mechanisms to scale a business in a market.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in English and Korean with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) front-end, data analytics middleware, or back-end data warehouse technologies.
  • Understanding of data analytics technology stack (e.g., Hadoop/Spark Data lakes, Columnar Data Warehouses, Data Streaming, ETL and Data Governance, Predictive Analytics, OLAP, and Data Science Framework).
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Data and Analytics offerings (e.g., BigQuery, Looker, DataProc, PubSub, etc.).
  • Ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders as a business advisor and thought leader in data and analytics.
  • Excellent business acumen and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and influence stakeholders.

In this role, you will lead a Sales team to grow Google Cloud’s Data Analytics market. You will build executive-level relationships, and align our offerings and partners value proposition to customers needs. You will be prospecting, qualifying, and orchestrating a cross-functional team, leveraging the right resources including customer engineering, partner management, professional services, and field teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain executive relationships with customers as the Data Analytics Subject Matter Expert (SME), and influence long-term direction.
  • Develop and execute account plans, including a broader enterprise plan across key verticals, and focus on enhancing greenfield accounts. Manage the team day-to-day, offering support for critical business opportunities and career mentorship.
  • Assist customers in identifying use cases suitable for Google Cloud Data and Analytics solutions, articulate key solution differentiators and the measurable business impact.
  • Work with Google account and technical teams to develop and drive pipelines, and provide expertise. Develop go-to-market efforts with Google Cloud Platform partners.
  • Calibrate the business against the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and report the state of the business for the territory. Build, coach, and motivate a team of representatives.
