New Product Introduction Operations Program Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience managing Contract Manufacturers and Component Suppliers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, Operations, or similar fields.
  • Experience in materials build readiness in New Product Introduction (NPI), Supply Chain readiness for Production, Manufacturing, Operations, or Supply/Demand Planning.
  • Experience in multiple aspects of hardware operations.
  • Knowledge about typical hardware BOMs, process documentation and assembly and test processes.
  • Ability to communicate project requirements and schedules.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity, and strategic skills.

As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations Program Manager, you will be the primary Operations/Supply Chain interface to the development and deployment teams with the responsibility for driving operations new product development as well as supporting those products through the production ramp.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional Program teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp or product transitions.
  • Plan and execute operations development activities and ensure transition to production within cost, quality, and capacity parameters, and ensure production transitions meet program goals.
  • Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (e.g., material availability, cost, assembly, test, BOM, capacity readiness, and transition plans).
  • Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific strategic reasons, while accounting for risks, changes in schedule, or demand.
  • Drive Build Coordination with internal teams and external partners.
