About the job

The Content Partner Engineering team is the technical interface for YouTube's most complex and strategically vital partners across emerging markets (e.g., broadcasters, sports leagues, Multi-Channel Networks (MCNs), and news organizations). Our unique blend of deep technical skill and business acumen allows us to provide high-touch technical services, resolve challenges, and serve as a crucial feedback loop to incubate and mature scalable product solutions. We are dedicated to ensuring these partners can maximally grow, generate business, and protect their content and operations on YouTube.

As a Partner Engineer, you will be a technologist working in a team that manages YouTube’s largest partnerships, optimizing implementations, driving new business opportunities, and seeking innovative solutions aiming to build excellent, successful, long-term partnerships. YouTube's Partner Engineering organization is a global organization dedicated to developing and managing partnerships with the biggest media companies working closely with the YouTube Product, Engineering, Strategy and Content teams to address our partners' most pressing and complex technology challenges.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead projects and cross-functional efforts (e.g., product, engineering, business development, operations, marketing, etc.) and solidify YouTube’s strategic partnerships with the largest traditional partners and the most successful new media partners that have grown large businesses almost exclusively on YouTube. You will manage technical engagements with some of the biggest media companies and be responsible for the ongoing success and satisfaction of a portfolio of partners. You will also be instrumental in improving existing operations, commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations, and taking new initiatives from conception to deployment

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical expert during high-level business negotiations to drive partner success and integrate content verticals onto the YouTube platform.
  • Design and prototype scalable product solutions and AI/ML applications to streamline partner operations, reduce costs, and unlock new business streams.
  • Oversee the end-to-end technical integrity of partner integrations through implementation reviews, detailed documentation, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Synthesize complex partner feedback and technical roadblocks into actionable requirements for Product and Engineering teams to influence the global roadmap.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and project management to extract strategic insights from massive datasets, resolving critical technical challenges and articulating platform value to global stakeholders.
