Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in an analytical role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience or interest in the media industry.

The Consumer Experience Operations organization collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Vendor Operations, Marketing, Data Science and Legal, to identify and address user pain points and improve the overall support experience. Our team is tasked with developing innovative and user-centric support solutions that address the evolving needs of YouTube's user base — across NFL Sunday Ticket, YouTube TV, and YouTube Music and Premium, as well as Shopping and Fan Funding — with the goal of delivering an exceptional experience while increasing growth and retention. We drive the implementation of self-service tools and automated support workflows, and we equip support agents with the knowledge, tools and skills to provide high quality service.

Our goal is to ensure the best possible user experience for YouTube products on any connected devices.We guide operational excellence, at extraordinary scale, for entire device partner experience. Balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. Build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

As a Partner Engineer, you will deliver technical solutions and tools to empower internal teams and our partner teams worldwide. You will have the opportunity to lead projects and teams that require close collaboration with other teams like Product, Engineering, Business Development, Operations and Marketing. Play a key role in improving existing operations, defining and commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations and taking new initiatives from conception to successful deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
  • Identify, guide, and optimize the business flow from new existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies.
  • Work closely with our Android TV partners in the region and globally to accelerate and improve YouTube integrations on new consumer devices.
