Technical Lead Manager, Ads Benchmarks Experiences

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience in full stack software development in C++ or Java programming languages, and managing and maintaining infrastructure systems.
  • Experience in distributed computing, processing and product design, and creating and maintaining data indexes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Engineering experience in leading a multi-engineer team developing middle-layer and back-end development for the end-user products.
  • Experience in front-end web-product development using languages such as Angular, Dart, React, TypeScript.
  • Experience in people leadership with direct reports (e.g., Technical Lead Manager, Engineering Manager, or TL with experience in growing others’ career).
  • Knowledge of Ads.

The Ads Benchmarks Experiences team oversees and builds the full platform, including core data pipelines, back-end infrastructures, API, and dedicated front-end surfaces into multiple tools facing users as well as providing the ads benchmarks data to the partner teams and products. We are dedicated to creating products and technology that make a difference for our users and the business.

As a Technical Lead Manager, you will be hiring and growing a new team from scratch, while overseeing large technical and product areas. You will build and establish a strong team in Warsaw that is ramped-up and can carry forth all operations to meet the important business goals autonomously.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Make direct technical contributions. Be able to technically contribute across development and maintenance across back-end pipelines, database, API, front-end, metrics.
  • Hire, build, and manage a completely new team from scratch in Warsaw, and set strong cultural, organizational, and technical foundations.
  • Onboard and carry forward the Benchmarks strategies and missions currently driven by the LAX team.
  • Build and maintain successful collaborations with partners and stakeholders across multiple geographies and multiple organizations.
  • Define goals, roadmaps, and execute for short and long term projects, including Annual, quarterly, and roadmap planning, as well as developing the execution process.
