Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, JavaScript, Go, etc.
- Experience with cloud compute such as Google Compute Engine (GCE) and Docker, containers, Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

The Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Engineering Productivity team is behind developer success on GKE Enterprise. We are dedicated to maximizing developer efficiency, enabling innovation, and ensuring GKE Enterprise is the most reliable and scalable platform for Kubernetes workloads.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement core features and components of GKE Enterprise, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with team members to define software architecture, develop detailed designs, and implement robust, maintainable code.
- Develop and maintain test suites to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of GKE Enterprise.
- Create and execute automated test cases, both unit and integration tests, to ensure code quality and catch regressions.
- Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement in the software development process.
