Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of technology sales experience, including 5 years of experience selling cloud computing solutions.
  • 15 years of experience in, or working with, the public sector.
  • 10 years of sales leadership experience, managing and growing a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading and scaling teams consisting of multiple levels of management.
  • Experience leading large-scale businesses, and ability to work with high levels of ambiguity and complexity as the business evolves.
  • Understanding of how various cloud technologies work together to drive deeper technology adoption within the existing large account base.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a business or new markets from scratch and see it through growth.
  • Ability to build a high-performing sales team and an excellent team culture.
  • Ability to grow/scale businesses, and develop long-term strategic relationships with accounts.

As the Director of Google Cloud Sales for Australia and New Zealand Public Sector, you'll have a highly visible leadership role in a fast-growth, quick-moving area of Google’s business. You will lead the team to meet and exceed business growth goals while driving customer satisfaction, and bring an operational approach to recruiting, coaching, and managing your team. You will work with cross-functional teams, including Partners, Product Sales groups, and Product Management to accelerate opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement go-to-market propositions in the Australia and New Zealand Public Sector, pulling together marketing, demand management, solutions, product, and engineering teams to produce a focused proposition to prospects and customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships to influence long-term strategic direction. Act as a trusted advisor to customers.
  • Work with the wider Google Account teams to develop and drive pipeline, provide guidance, and with Google Cloud Partners to develop campaigns. Build a pipeline of customers within selected verticals.
  • Understand complex customer requirements on a business and technical level, and develop and provide custom presentations on Google Cloud products to customers to solve their business problems.
  • Collaborate with Google sales engineering and marketing resources, providing input on current collateral materials and ideas on how to improve them to maximize Google Cloud Platform.
