Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience with performance or power refinment.
  • Experience with SoC, CPU, GPU, ISP, Memory, or Caches.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
  • Experience with one or more of these areas: QoS tuning, bandwidth and latency analysis, scheduler, DVFS governor, power state control, thermal management, device drivers.
  • Experience with processor core architectures (such as ARM, x86, RISC-V, etc.) and IPs commonly used in SoC designs.
  • Experience with on-device ML/compute optimization.
  • Experience with performance and power analysis.

As a Performance, Power and Thermal Architect, you will help drive Mobile SoC Architecture optimized for Performance, Power and Thermal. This role will analyze mobile workloads, identify performance bottlenecks and power optimization opportunities in hardware/software architecture, and work with cross-functional teams to implement these solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct performance, power, thermal analysis in both qualitative and quantitative fashion effectively.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks across workloads on Mobile SoCs and suggest potential optimizations to improve Performance/Power.
  • Identify software and hardware architectural optimizations for mobile/tablet workloads (ML/Gen-AI, Browsing, Camera, etc).
  • Evaluate architectural options, trade-offs (CPU Cache sizing, Core configuration, Memory controller QoS, etc) and develop architecture proposals /justification.
  • Perform Deep-dive analyses for CPU, GPU, ML/Gen-AI and Memory bound workloads.
