Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience in software development, building and shipping production-ready code in languages such as Python, Go or SQL.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to collaborate with global teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in designing and managing scalable AI/ML infrastructure and tooling, building tools that leverage artificial intelligence to boost team productivity.
  • Understanding of MLOps principles and a track record of leading teams in implementing best practices for AI/ML model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in production environments.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

As a Software Engineer, you will be a key player in building the infrastructure that protects billions of users and empowers Google product teams to prioritize safety.You will design and develop tools that leverage AI (GenAI) to accelerate the development and deployment of abuse-fighting solutions. You will create mechanisms to measure the quality and performance of content safety features before they reach users. You will engineer reliable, scalable infrastructure that ensures the stability and performance of platforms.You will also develop solutions that provide actionable insights, helping engineers identify and resolve issues quickly. You will advocate for code quality and drive data-driven improvements to the Product-Service Systems (PSS) codebase.

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative tools and automation that leverage AI to enhance internal team workflows and overall developer efficiency and measure the quality and performance of abuse-fighting changes before they go live.
  • Build solutions to accelerate development and deployment of abuse-fighting solutions using GenAI.
  • Enhance the reliability and stability of PSS infrastructure. Empower the team with data-driven insights into Product-Service Systems (PSS) codebase best practices.
  • Ensure operational excellence of our AI/ML models by establishing and following MLOps principles for deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance in production environments.
