Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture and cybersecurity in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience with Cloud Identity and Access Management, Network Security, Data Security, Regulatory Compliance frameworks, and creating Security Architectures.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certifications, such as CISSP or CCSP.
- Experience with architecting and implementing security concepts in the cloud, including: Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identify Provider (IdP), identity lifecycle management, firewalls, zero trust, secrets management, disaster recovery and continuity, SecOps, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), or encryption.
- Experience working with regulatory compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, FedRAMP, PCI, and HIPAA.
- Experience with multiple Cloud providers or multi-cloud solutions.
- Experience prospecting, and building and maintaining customer relationships.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams as a Security and Compliance subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks related to technical security and compliance. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will have excellent technical, communication and organizational skills. You will partner with internal engineering stakeholders to improve products and build solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$214,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical security and compliance blockers.
- Share expertise in security, privacy and regulatory compliance to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
- Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
- Contribute to programs in areas of security, privacy, and compliance with internal teams, e.g., Marketing, Product, Legal, and Policy. Deliver enablement internally to create customer best practices.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required, acting as a public advocate for Google Cloud.
