Technical Program Manager, Google Cloud Business Platforms

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in managing projects.
  • Experience in Technical Program Management, Stakeholder Management, Cloud Computing, Support Infrastructure, Customer Focus, Customer Success Metrics

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field , or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with managing hosted services/Software as a Service (SaaS) with the ability to analyze and trace product behavior back to the responsible code.
  • Experience in working across a distributed and integrated team composed of technical and non-technical members.
  • Experience in implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Internet-based applications, web servers, data storage, commerce engines, and Linux/Unix operating systems.

You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of Technical Program Managers (TPgMs) who deliver technical support to our global population of internal Cloud employees. Ensure quality customer service, enhance the operations, and develop your team’s technical skills and instrumentation.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to advocate for customers with a data-motivated approach. Break down customer issues into areas for improvement in the product.
  • Engage with Software Engineering, Product Management and Site Reliability Engineering to manage production incidents in real time
  • Manage project schedules, identify possible issues and communicate them to project stakeholders.
