About the job
As a part of the Pixel System Architecture team, you will play a key role in defining the next-generation of Pixel products, as during the product-definition phase, takes a systems view, work cross-functionally to map targeted user experiences into workloads and to drive hardware definition decisions. You will develop, leverage power and performance models to project Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), ensuring all decisions are optimized for the best user experience. You will work with engineering teams to support execution, validate projections and support product features and software decisions at key checkpoints through launch. As a part of the Thermal System Architecture group, your aim is to address thermal challenges by creating a coherent thermal strategy that considers all the aspects of the problem : mechanical design, electrical design, power consumption, software strategy and user experience.
As a Thermal System Architect, you will be at the heart of ensuring our products deliver great performance in all conditions while remaining cool and safe to the touch.
You will engage with a wide variety of cross-functional teams to bring a unique system view to the thermal workstreams. Your responsibilities will be to drive decisions and workstreams based on data and system context as communication skills are required to work efficiently with all the cross-functional teams.
In this role , you will require a unique blend of hardware knowledge, software knowledge, system analysis and metric analysis. You will use data-driven insights to analyze performance, root-cause issues, and guide future hardware and software design as your work is critical to delivering a reliable experience for millions of Pixel users. The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience.
