Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Kotlin, TypeScript, or Java), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • Experience with generative AI and its application for improving velocity/productivity.
  • Experience designing and developing full-stack tools and infrastructure from scratch, while also leveraging existing solutions when appropriate.
  • Ability to apply creative and innovative solutions that exceed business objectives.
  • Excellent system design skills that consider both the human and technological aspects of a problem.

The team plays a key role in ensuring the overall software experiences launch quality of Android and Pixel software with the practices of transforming how Android, Pixel and other teams create, develop, and launch software. The team collaborates with cross-functional teams across multiple sites, encompassing infrastructure and tooling development while leveraging AI. The team is responsible with in-house feature testing, carrier pre-certification testing, quality analysis, and more.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the next generation of automated agentic testing framework. Create scalable, AI-enhanced solutions to support mobile application development across a wide range of devices.
  • Design and implement AI-powered simulation engines to simulate intricate, real-world user journeys and device environments in authentic usage conditions that traditional automation might miss.
  • Serve as a key resource for engineering teams, providing the tools and insights needed to ensure mobile applications deliver a positive user experience.
  • Take full ownership of critical infrastructure components, collaborating across cross-functional teams to embed automated quality checks throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
