Strategy and Operations Lead, Scaled Strategies and Programs

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in project management, prioritization, and working across cross-functional stakeholders to influence strategy and decision making.
  • Experience working on complex operational and strategic initiatives and distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with business judgment.
  • Ability to manage complex topics simultaneously and drive them to completion, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish relationships and collaborate at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional technical and business partners.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and people management skills.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GTM) team ensures Google's and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are problem solving, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The Americas Business Strategy and Operations (ABS&O) organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams in partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As a part of the Scaled Strategies and Programs (SS&P) team, you will be instrumental in defining the future direction of America's Large Customer Sales (ALCS). You will work closely with executives and cross-functional senior leaders to lead impactful initiatives focused on scaling our go-to-market strategies and processes, strengthening competitive selling capabilities, and delivering transformational change. You will be a key member of the team, responsible for managing global and regional projects focused on growth and efficiency for ALCS. You will partner closely with ALCS Sales Leaders as well as Sales Go-to-Market, Product Go-to-Market, Marketing, gCare, GPS, and GSA on cross-functional projects. This role offers the opportunity to own critical programs, develop innovative activation strategies, and drive significant impact on our regional sales organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the Program Management Office (PMO) and change management for scaled global and regional Go-to-Market initiatives.
  • Own hypotheses to key issues and be the main contributor to findings and solutions by partnering with peers to deliver insights and synthesize recommendations for executive decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across business areas (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product) and regions to drive insights and recommendations to leadership and working teams, based on analysis, experience, and business judgment.
  • Analyze issues, define next steps, and confidently communicate with senior stakeholders.
