Contracts and Deal Execution Manager, Google Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working in technology and Public Sector within Contract Administration, Legal, or similar functions.
  • Experience working with federal government contracting (e.g., FAR) and with all contract lifecycle phases.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing GSA MAS BPAs and delivery orders.
  • Experience working with US Public Sector or IT infrastructure, cloud and digital transformations.
  • Experience in two or more of the following: Public Sector legal negotiations, Process improvement and design or Public Sector Desk.
  • Ability to read and understand contractual terms in redlining and negotiating agreements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analysis and business judgment, with data modeling, reporting and written and verbal communication skills.

Within Google Public Sector (GPS), the Contracts and Deal Execution Team are experts on helping US Government agencies transform their mission to better serve the people. This team figures out how to bring the best of Google Cloud to the unique environment in the US Government.

The Deal Operations and Sales Enablement (DO&SE), Contracts and Deal Execution (CDE) team is instrumental in structuring, negotiating, executing, and managing contracts for GPS. As a CDE member, you will have the primary responsibility of managing all phases (Strategizing, Planning, Managing Escalations, Negotiating, and Closing) of the contracting process. This role has a specific focus on negotiating and contract drafting. As such, you will be responsible for owning the contract negotiation process, including contract markups and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure contractual language is acceptable to GPS risk profile. In this role as a CDE Manager, you will help strategize, negotiate, and manage direct customer and channel led contracts within GPS’ Federal portfolio.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts with US Federal end customers to include task/delivery orders, billing, invoicing, and company compliance processes. This includes supporting the drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating of a wide variety of contracts, nondisclosure and teaming agreements; government contracts; subcontracts; vendor agreements and statements of work.
  • Lead negotiation and administration of contracts from proposal to close-out including contract development, administration, tracking, and analysis.
  • Support proposals with an emphasis on risk identification/mitigation and reviews of contractual documents to ensure the protection of GPS’ contractual posture, satisfaction of government specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy.
  • Collaborate with Business Development/Client relationship managers to ensure contract accuracy. Lead and execute cross-organization initiatives (e.g. pilot programs to improve execution, etc.).
  • Contribute to launch, optimization, and ongoing operation of a GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS).
