As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Platforms and Devices Trade Compliance team is responsible for streamlining global supply chains to enable the launch and market expansion of Pixel Phones, Nest, Fitbit and all the amazing gear made by Google that is powered by Android and Gemini. Google is looking for an experienced and highly collaborative person who is passionate about trade compliance. In this role, you will support the global trade, customs and supply chain compliance program for Google’s Platforms and Devices Product Group (DSPG). You will be responsible for the launch and expansion of Pixel Phones, Nest, Fitbit and all the amazing gear made by Google that is powered by Android and Google Gemini.
You will have experience in AMER import/export operations, customs laws, and VAT rules. You will be expected to develop and manage program strategies for the optimization of the trade compliance program for DSPA retail, e-commerce and reverse logistics channels, and work with internal stakeholders, vendors and key partners to drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed subject matter expertise regarding Customs, Import and Export regulations applicable to Platforms and Devices retail operations in the AMER region.
  • Develop workflows to enable the efficient international shipping of consumer hardware across business channels.
  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics to manage customs brokers and resolve daily customs clearance issues. Develop trade oversight programs with key retail partners.
  • Perform internal customs audits and conduct internal reviews of our trade and logistics practices, including on-site reviews on 3PLs and customs brokers.
  • Assist with a number of global and regional trade compliance programs and initiatives, including development of policies, workflows, training, automation and compliance toolkits.
