Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in finance and analytics, cost modeling and negotiations.
  • Experience in telecommunications, cloud, or networking technology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile project management certification, or similar.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience influencing the development of new software tools and process-based solutions.
  • Experience developing recommendations and influencing key decisions across business leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Global Network Delivery (GND) team is responsible for building and operating the production network for Google that provides service to internet users around the world. The Network Delivery Operations team sits within GND and is responsible for driving strategy, insights, and solutions which improve network capacity delivery on the Google production network.

From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives to solve business challenges across multiple functions and levels in the organization; drive change, influence decision making, and lead adoption of key business processes.
  • Identify and collect data to produce business insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Create and present executive communications and reports on business operations, performance, and strategic initiatives.
  • Define and measure performance on key processes and success criteria, and establish necessary program governance to enable business execution and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic guidance and program management throughout planning and implementation phases across various initiatives.
