Minimum qualifications:

About the job

The Server Operations team monitors the physical and network infrastructure behind Google’s technology and holds responsibility for keeping the servers, networks, and logistics processes in Google’s global fleet of data centers running smoothly and efficiently.

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a member of Fleet Management at Google, you will develop relationships, both internally and externally, and connect with internal customers and partner teams to develop an understanding of their business requirements and goals.

In this role, you will own and optimize Google's production network material fulfillment by fostering communication, collaboration, and accountability with customers and partner teams. You will oversee the end-to-end cross-functional orchestration of networking materials including racks, fiber, priority materials, and ML skeleton equipment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day material delivery operations, ensuring adherence to Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and managing escalations.
  • Drive continuous improvements in material fulfillment processes and tooling to reduce cycle times, enhance efficiency, and reduce human toil.
  • Partner closely with teams such as DCNet, planning, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to ensure seamless material delivery.
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material availability, on-time delivery, and SLO adherence.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for network material delivery, engaging with stakeholders to align on priorities and communicate performance.
