Performance Specialist, Large Customer Sales (English, Japanese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of related experience in sales, marketing, consulting, or product marketing.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and cross-border teams.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently in order to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience identifying and recommending ways to improve product and customer strategy.
  • Experience with Search or working with performance advertisers.
  • Understanding of industry issues, a goal for its growth, and a commitment to advance Google's forward-looking strategies within the market.
  • Ability to analyze complex advertiser performance data through analytical tools.
  • Excellent creative thinking, and problem-solving skills, and readiness to work to deliver success/impact.

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the direction and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As a Performance Specialist within our Large Customer Sales (LCS) team, you will be supporting and working with customers in Japan with advertising and digital transformation on Search and other performance campaigns. Our team's mission is to transform digital advertising from efficiency to growth through leading the performance of complex or emerging Google solutions in media and measurement collectively, to corporate executives (CXO's) mindset. Our team works with other internal teams (both promoters and product teams) on new products, opportunities, building proof points and best practices, and helping to determine the best way to scale into teams. In this role, you will be subject-matter-expert in performance solutions and products, and help to grow business from key accounts in all verticals. You will provide actionable recommendations to customers and the Sales team, by understanding top-line business issues and exploring solutions.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the adoption of strategies and roll-out of performance solutions to help expand our business with existing customers (including building solutions, and finding opportunities, activation).
  • Maintain accountability to business growth and product adoption goals.
  • Plan and execute all initiatives and programs for impact but minimal disruption to the sales team, working with marketing, regional teams, and product management.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team and with executive Sales leadership to deliver performance pillar strategy for the country and region.
  • Connect products/features with appropriate sales teams and customers and ensure customer feedback is properly incorporated to global teams.
