Minimum qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with financial modeling.
  • Experience building cost models and performing engaged analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in network optimization, capacity planning.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Google Global Infrastructure (GGI) Cost and Pricing team defines methodology and tooling for costing and pricing for all networking products.

In this role, you will be dedicated to cost ownership for Alphabet network infrastructure. Your role owns methodology and tooling for networking cost and executes programs to implement new products, cost methodology changes and any other changes required to maintain a reliable source of truth for costing. Your role spans multiple organizations and provides subject matter expertise to GGI and product areas in terms of network costing. You will focus on business and financial aspects of the infrastructure, while operating in technical knowledge of networking architectures and technologies. You will have a technical background in physical network infrastructure and routing, switching and transport technology and passion for cost and financial analytics.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the roadmap for network cost modeling tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Be the subject matter expert and owner of network cost modeling methodology for all GGI network domains.
  • Make or facilitate key technical decisions in network costs and pricing methodologies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with architectural and financial principles.
  • Collaborate with Cost and Pricing, Finance, Planning, Supply Chain, Global Network Technologies (GNT) to ensure data quality and accuracy for network cost modeling.
  • Own and maintain cost source of truth (SOT) for GGI networking, including insights for quarterly business review (QBR), unit cost analytics enabling critical insights for GGI teams to drive efficiency and manage escalations requiring cost modeling and cost reductions expertise.
