Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in supply chain operatons.
  • Experience in silicon development lifecycle and manufacturing processes (e.g., wafer fab, assembly, test).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in technical program management within the semiconductor industry, with a focus on custom silicon, ASIC, or complex electronic component development.
  • Experience managing projects involving global foundries, OSATs, and other key silicon supply chain partners.
  • Ability to drive projects to completion in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As the Operations Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will serve as the central point of accountability for the business and operational management of custom silicon projects. In this role, you will source, develop, and deliver high-quality electronic components. You will also lead seamless execution across the entire project lifecycle, bridging technical, operational, and commercial teams both internally and externally.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of custom silicon projects from concept to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring all business, operational, and technical aspects are managed.
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across internal teams (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance, Platform, CI2, CSCO) and external partners (e.g., Foundries, OSATs, IP vendors).
  • Define, track, and manage all critical project requirements, timelines, and deliverables, holding stakeholders accountable for on-time and high-quality contributions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, developing contingency plans and driving resolution with a sense of urgency.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program management processes and tools, leveraging data and AI insights where applicable to enhance efficiency, predictability, and agility.
