Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, RCS for Business GTM (English, German)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or corporate development within the technology or telecommunications sectors.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder commercial negotiations and structuring partner agreements.
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently in this partner-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or formally managing junior partner development managers or account teams.
  • Strong experience leading cross-functional, matrixed teams (Product, Engineering, Legal, Regulatory, and Sales) to deliver complex initiatives.
  • Deep domain expertise across messaging, omni-channel marketing, local digital advertising, in your target market and across the region.
  • Track record of successfully managing and growing a mature market ecosystem or launching transformational, multi-million-euro digital products.
  • Exceptional executive presence; comfortable pitching to, negotiating with, and influencing C-suite executives externally and executive Vice President's internally.

Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As the Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead for RCS for Business Partnerships, you will be the ultimate country and strategic architect for the next-generation of mobile conversational commerce.You will be committed to transforming how businesses and consumers interact in an agentic world through RCS, via a rich, conversational, AI-native and verified experience on both Android and iOS.

In this role, you will support the commercialization and partnership strategy within your local market. You will navigate the complex conversational commerce ecosystem, engaging directly with a set of partners spanning AI-native botbuilders and Communications Service Providers (CSPs), Marketing Technologies (Martechs), Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) providers, messaging aggregators, and major enterprise brands. Your mission is to accelerate the localized adoption of RCS for Business, establishing it as the primary high-engagement channel for businesses.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall business health, revenue enablement strategy, and adoption metrics for RCS for Business within your market with and through partners, formulate and execute the multi-year partner roadmap.
  • Drive alignment across competing market players to build a frictionless RCS ecosystem, while accelerating enterprise brand adoption by partnering with a set of companies to launch flagship, industry-first conversational commerce experiences with leading brands as these partners include but not be limited to AI-native agent builders and Communications Service Providers (CSPs), Customer Relationship Management (CRM)/Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Marketing Technologies (MarTechs), Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) providers and other industry participants.
  • Serve as a primary strategic advisor to global Product and Engineering leadership, translating local market regulatory nuances, commercial/technical hurdles, and partner dynamics into high-priority product requirements.
  • Represent Google as the preeminent thought leader for RCS and business messaging at major country-wide and European industry events, regulatory discussions, and executive roundtables.
  • Provide mentorship and strategic guidance to local and regional partner managers, while establishing best practices, repeatable commercial frameworks, and negotiation playbooks for the broader EMEA partnerships team.
