Software Engineer, AI/TPU Infrastructure, Networking, Compute, On-Premises

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
  • 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • Experience in software engineering, machine learning, machine learning infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience in software development, with proficiency in languages such as Python or C++.
  • Experience in machine learning and AI, with a drive to deepen knowledge of the underlying hardware and software stacks.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge working within cloud infrastructure and networking along with understanding of cloud computation or data center networking technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and technical program managers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with customers to understand data center networking requirements, including connectivity, IP subnets, and compute node needs for managing TPU PODs.
  • Architect and deliver the software and a reference network fabric design, partnering with customers to adopt or extend it.
  • Develop and integrate networking configuration software to bootstrap customer TPU data center installations and enable successful turn-up.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to shape the future of ML infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship, fostering the growth of team members.
