Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture and development methodologies (e.g. modernizing legacy applications) in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience selling or supporting Apigee or Application integration tools.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience supporting or selling to U.S. Federal Customers.
- Experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks, and PaaS.
- Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, etc.).
- Experience prospecting, building, and maintaining customer relationships from scratch, with excitement for building Greenfield territories in Enterprise accounts.
- Understanding of Google Cloud, multi and hybrid-cloud strategies, and associated technologies.
- Exposure to the software development lifecycle.

As a Customer Engineer specializing in Apigee and Application Integration at Google Public Sector, you'll be a key technical advisor and advocate for our customers. You'll leverage your deep expertise to guide businesses of all sizes in leveraging Google Cloud's cutting-edge technology to connect with their customers, employees, and partners in innovative ways.
In this role, you'll be the bridge between our customers' business needs and our powerful API management and integration solutions. You'll build trusted relationships with technical stakeholders, design and deliver compelling proofs of concept, and ensure successful evaluations that showcase the value of Google Cloud. You'll play a vital role in driving the adoption of our technology, empowering government agencies to grow in the digital age.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Share in-depth API management, Apigee, Application integration expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, and proof-of-concept work.
- Partner directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud. Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
- Articulate and educate on technical and architectural concepts to a variety of audiences, including developers, architects, IT professionals, customers, partners, and cross-functional team members.
