Software Engineering Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing and customizing third-party systems.
  • Knowledge of Legal Technology space and experience deploying legal tooling in large enterprises.
  • Ability to inspire and influence diverse teams.
  • Ability to help Google and its partners build a sustainable business with business acumen skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineers across different teams to influence related programs and build strong integrations with internal and third-party tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify needs, define technical requirements, and deliver solutions that address critical legal and regulatory tests.
  • Guide the integration of enterprise legal solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity between internal systems and third-party tools.
    Oversee the full life-cycle of internal legal applications, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement solutions to ensure adherence to relevant controls, regulations, data security standards.
    Lead the development of legal applications, tools, and automation, focusing on reliability, scalability, and user experience.
  • Manage the integration of third-party products, ensuring they are effectively implemented, customized, and kept up-to-date.
