Demand Planning and AI Solutions Lead, Devices and Services

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with machine learning and software development life cycle development.
  • Experience in demand planning or sales forecasting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience developing and executing AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics strategies within a commercial, sales, or demand planning environment.
  • Experience building and deploying automated insight generation, Large Language Model (LLM) motivated analytics, and AI forecasting models within enterprise sales dashboards.
  • Experience integrating AI systems with enterprise platforms (e.g., enterprise resource planning, CRMs) via APIs.
  • Proficiency with automation/integration platforms (e.g., iPaaS, Business Process Management (BPM)) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Apps Script) for prototyping.
  • Knowledge of sales, commercial, or supply chain operations, within the consumer electronics or retail industries.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Global Business Transformation team is building the AI-native future of Google's Platforms and Devices organization (e.g., Android, Chrome, Pixel, nest, and fitbit). We are on a mission to create the industry’s most efficient commercial platform by unlocking a new era of productivity where teams, processes, and AI Agents work as one.

As a Demand Planning and AI Solutions Lead, you will architect and guide the AI intelligence strategy for Demand Planning and promotion management systems for the platform and devices organization. You will empower our Sales teams by designing predictive decision models and actionable insights to accelerate business growth and maximize operational efficiency. You will advocate the modernization of complex planning workflows, fostering seamless cross-functional collaboration and leveraging AI to significantly enhance demand forecast accuracy.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define the goal for how to blend AI intelligence with actionable insights, moving beyond basic reporting to dynamic, predictive, and agentic workflows that empower sales teams.
  • Define the product needs for advanced AI-driven scenario modeling and simulation tools, and work closely with engineering and technical leads to build and successfully land capabilities for the sales teams.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to overhaul and modernize demand planning workflows by translating planning requirements into a technical product strategy and drive the on-ground execution to integrate AI, improve forecasting accuracy, and ensure seamless operational alignment across the organization.
  • Implement, prototype, and script solutions using low-code tools and agentic frameworks to accelerate development and validate designs.
  • Define the KPIs that AI solutions solve core business problems, and align executive stakeholders, ensuring new capabilities land and deliver measurable Return on Investment.
