Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in advertising, marketing technology, management consulting, or product management.
  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • 2 years of experience with media insights and planning for digital video or TV, and with the data and tools used by advertisers and agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in science.
  • Experience in advertising product development and commercialization, acting as a strategic liaison who translates business feedback into product strategy while advocating product value to the business organization.
  • Ability to drive impact in a fluid environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both practitioner and executive-level contexts.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead operational and strategic initiatives.

About the job

Global Product Solutions (GPS) is the organization that connects the customers’ needs to the global product and commercial strategy for Google Ads. The Insights and Planning team’s role is to empower customers to make media allocation decisions to grow their brands and business. In this role, you will help bring an understanding of the YouTube platform across creators, content, and to agencies and advertisers. You will focus on equipping advertisers, agencies, and their Google business teams with insights from insights finder, agency and APIs, video benchmarks, and to YouTube Search and more.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$179,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the long-term product goal for YouTube creator and content insights.
  • Translate fragmented market needs into a cohesive product strategy. Represent the global advertiser to the engineering teams.
  • Drive product strategy for the next generation of insights, focus on content trends, creator affinity, and the cultural pulse of the platform.
  • Build the go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new insights products, and define how these products are launched, scaled, and externalized to the industry.
  • Act as the strategic bridge between YouTube product management and global sales to ensure the insights tools are as beautiful and compelling as the content they analyze.
