Minimum qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in digital health research and product development focused on consumer health.
  • 7 years of experience in leading projects with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in leading behavioral change product development that translates to outcomes in analytics and clinical studies.
  • Experience in interfacing or engaging in agent-based behavior change software approaches.
  • Experience with large language models and artificial intelligence (e.g., prompt engineering, model evaluation).
  • Experience in utilizing theories of behavior change in technology products.
  • Experience with cross-functional stakeholder management and leadership through influence.
  • Ability to recognize as a national leader in a related discipline.

About the job

In this role, you will be developing intelligent tools that help improve health journeys for users. You will work as part of the cross-functional team building personalized Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered health and wellness products to help people live healthier lives. You will guide research and product development for the Fitbit and Pixel portfolio of trackers, smartwatches, and subscription experiences. You will help to ensure the approach is grounded in scientific and clinical accuracy and creates value for people who want to use the products to help improve their health and wellbeing.Google for Health is a company-wide effort to help billions of people be healthier. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance, insights, and direction for Google’s consumer products like devices and AI coaching, work with research and product teams.
  • Use expertise in motivational interviewing, personalization, and longitudinal engagement to design product requirements and research studies.
  • Identify evidence-based practices and scientific breakthroughs to define priorities and new opportunities to help people improve health and wellbeing in the context of behavioral science.
  • Contribute to the development of intelligent and intuitive tools that improve health and wellness journeys for users.
