Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision ).
- 5 years of experience leading the Machine Learning (ML) design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Experience with modern deep learning architectures and frameworks, and in roles requiring direct involvement in engineering design and technical decision-making.
- Experience with infrastructure, distributed systems, or large-scale data management systems.
- Experience working within the Machine Learning (ML) domain, with exposure to data management challenges.
- Ability to prioritize, execute, and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities
- Own the strategic technical outlook and roadmap for the Search Growth in India. Identify, evaluate, and advocate the adoption of AI and key techniques to fundamentally improve information retrieval, synthesis, and user experience.
- Contribute to the search organization's broader technical strategy and represent the team in high-level architectural forums. Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, including responsibility for hiring, performance reviews, career development, and compensation planning.
- Serve as the primary technical partner to Product Managers, UX Designers, and AI/ML Research Scientists, translating product needs into clear, actionable engineering goals. Debug complex organizational and process issues to unblock team and optimize workflow.
- Lead the team in defining and adhering to best practices and operational excellence standards. Drive execution and delivery against the roadmap, managing project risks, resource allocation, and dependencies with external teams.
