As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a member of Solutions Enablement team you will work with cross-functional partner teams to identify user issues, translate them into business requirements, help prioritize business needs, align executive audiences to gain buy-in, and influence first-party and third-party product road maps to ensure governance across Google’s global suite of hardware and software products. You will balance Google’s legal, regulatory and compliance requirements with our users’ needs, and our company’s values. You will be responsible for interfacing directly with product, engineering, leadership, and other cross functional teams on a continuous basis and will allow you to shape the future of the Global Affairs solutions and technology ecosystem. You must possess subject matter expertise in government affairs/public policy, legal, regulatory, compliance), process design and re-engineering, high-level architecture and solution design, Product Development Life Cycle/Software Development Life Cycle practices to help develop solutions and proof-of-concepts and collaborate with product and engineering teams to build technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program strategy working with stakeholders to define and prioritize objectives, translating business intelligence requests into project plans that address scope, timeline, and risks.
  • Provide technical leadership to a vendor engineering team by performing due diligence to evaluate scope, assessing technical trade-offs, and shaping the direction of business intelligence deliverables while applying Agile methodologies to increase team effectiveness.
  • Partner with Legal Engineering Team, Legal Stakeholders and vendor engineers to drive the execution and development of a variety of Legal Tooling solutions.
  • Identify and manage program risks and cross-functional dependencies, proposing mitigation plans and driving resolution to ensure delivery.
  • Design and manage the communication plan for the vendor delivery program, ensuring alignment and providing updates on objectives and status to project teams, partners, and stakeholders.
