Technical Solutions Consultant, Marketing Finance Transformation

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
  • Experience in systems implementation life-cycles (e.g., business requirements, design, build, test, implement, support).
  • Experience in evaluating, standardizing, and promoting data governance, master data management, data warehousing, data pipelines, business intelligence and analytics.
  • Experience with accounting/finance ERP systems and business processes, as well as the system controls related to the processes.
  • Excellent process design, project management, and problem-solving skills.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

The Marketing Finance Transformation team collaborates with Marketing, Finance and Engineering teams to ensure robust and scalable financial processes, data and tools to empower our stakeholders with accurate, reliable and timely financial reporting and insights.

The Marketing Finance Transformation team's mission is to drive functional excellence at the intersection of Finance and Marketing across all Alphabet product areas and teams, supporting decision making and enhancing Marketing investment allocation.

In this role, you will actively engage and guide business stakeholders in structuring and maintaining complex systems with large amounts of sensitive financial data. You will also actively help develop and grow our key talent and set up the Marketing Finance organization for success to address future business challenges.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$265,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with various business and Finance teams to identify and gather business requirements, design innovative solutions, and implement process improvements.
  • Enhance, maintain and support marketing finance’s data warehouse storing all financial and non-financial data leveraged by finance and marketing functions.
  • Establish, drive and enforce data governance best practices, driving standardization and efficiency for business stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering teams to design, develop and deploy first-party or third-party systems and tools to enable efficient financial processes.
  • Help create integrated system requirements, determine constraints and dependencies, define timelines, write detailed functional and test specifications, evaluate design alternatives and implications on functionality, effort, performance and operations, and drive projects to completion.
