Minimum qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with a distributed team of cross-functional stakeholders such as software engineers, designers, and technical writers.
  • Ability to drive product goals, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
  • Ability to build a detailed roadmap, taking into account the technical and product scope to lead from prototype to full product.
  • Excellent technical acumen and problem-solving skills.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Google Play is the world’s largest software distribution platform. The Play Developer organization develops the Play Console, the products and infrastructure used by millions of developers to publish to billions of users on Google Play. We are a large team of Googlers across Engineering, Product, UX and other functions that are focused on the Play developer ecosystem. We provide developers with sophisticated products to release their games with confidence to Google Play, to grow their audiences, and to engage and retain their users.

In this role, you will be working on extending our platform to enable developers to distribute games to Google Play Games for PC.

As a Product Manager at Google, you could be working on new technologies, platforms, consumer facing products, and/or enterprise systems. The end goal will be to match you with the team that best aligns with your interests, experience, and where you will have the most impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute on a product roadmap that aligns with the Play's strategy for developers.
  • Work closely with Engineering, UX, Marketing, and other teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and launch new features.
  • Represent the developer, understanding their needs and pain points, and incorporating their feedback into product decisions.
  • Utilize data and insights to measure the impact of the initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and support for the projects.
