Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in management consulting, partnerships development, corporate development, business development, or program management.
- 5 years of experience at technology, platform, or payment companies.
- Experience managing, developing, and leading teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in payments infrastructure, specifically regarding Payment Service Providers (PSPs), network tokens, Device Primary Account Numbers (DPAN), Virtual Card Numbers (VCN), and digital authentication solutions.
- Experience in AI Tooling and Workflow optimization.
- Experience structuring and executing product agreements and term sheets with fintechs and global networks.
- Experience creating scalable operating systems and building organizational structures.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence applications in the commerce space, particularly in enabling agentic and automated user journeys.
About the job
In this role, you will report to the Consumer Payments Director and drive execution of the overarching Consumer Payments strategy with Partners across the ecosystem. You will manage a dynamic team responsible for driving commercial transaction volume, expanding share of wallet for GPay and advancing Agentic Commerce ambitions across our most critical GPay, merchant, and network ecosystems.You will be designing clear operating systems and foundational capabilities for their team, ensuring high execution velocity. You will navigate matrices to unlock new value through enhanced merchant and network partnerships, while leading next-generation initiatives like agentic commerce and authentication solutions. You will be building operational cadences and will empower your team to successfully discuss technical integrations, launch first-of-kind pilots, and scale our most ambitious payment products globally.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $224,000-$312,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive the expansion of the GPay Application Programming Interface (API) to more merchants and secure ubiquity among key e-commerce platforms and Payment Service Providers.
- Optimize current merchant integrations to drive a higher Share of Wallet.
- Launch new commerce experiences (e.g., Authentication, Agentic Standards) and drive the adoption of Google Pay via agentic experiences working closely with our cross-product area colleagues.
- Mobilize growth initiatives with major payments networks to drive incremental transactions and collaborative innovation strategies.
- Establish operational frameworks and clear team structures that empower your reports to scale partnerships, maintain psychological safety, and execute against highly ambitious goals.
