Minimum qualifications:

  • Ability to define, costing, planning, tracking, and executing complex programs across engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with product and engineering, and cross-functional teams to build features and manage technical dependencies across the stack.
  • Ability to identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders in order to successfully deliver business, operational, and technical improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Google Home Platform (GHP) consists of the APIs and Infrastructure that enable developers to build amazing experiences in their own applications for the Home. The Home APIs give developers access to 700M devices connected to Google Home Platform and leverage Google's hub devices and matter and thread infrastructure, and an automation engine powered by Google Intelligence available on both Android and iOS.

In this role, you will own the software engineering schedule and product deliverables for our next generation platform service and integration with key external partners. You will be part of exciting new software platforms and developer experiences, integrating with the latest consumer technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full product lifecycle from feature concept to launch.
  • Own feature request intake and development process, including engineering sprints framework. Own second-level bug triage and prioritization process, helping developers focus on the most critical issues.
  • Deliver software release schedules with well-defined milestones and integration with technical dependencies.
  • Assess the quality of releases through monitoring of incoming bugs and code changes to identify quality issues and trends.
  • Provide clear communication across cross-functional teams to drive transparency and end-to-end coordination of deliverables.Work closely with external and internal partners to manage and deliver shared objectives.
