Marketing Analytics Team Lead, Ads Marketing Analytics (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
  • 13 years of experience in statistical problem solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g. Python, R, Java, C++).
  • 5 years of experience managing a team.
  • Ability to communicate in English to enable collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
  • Ability to translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for technical & non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with advanced analytics solutions involving machine learning and statistical analyses, or knowledge of data warehousing concepts
  • Understanding of incrementality measurement methodologies/frameworks and causal methods.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders with strong listening, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize requests and operate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.

Google Ads Marketing aims to help advertisers of all sizes succeed with digital marketing. You will work with a team to advance the science of Marketing to customers that use Google’s advertising solutions.

The Ads Marketing Analytics team builds analytical frameworks, measurement capabilities and GenAI analytics solutions to generate data driven insights that drive Ads business growth. As a Marketing Analytics Team Lead, you will lead a team of business data scientists, business analysts and data engineers. The team will build and maintain data infrastructure that fuels our marketing measurement, perform deep data analytics, drive initiatives in experimentation and run advanced machine learning capabilities to support global Ads marketing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own key measurement and analytical projects, including building out data infrastructure/pipelines for marketing measurement, prototyping GenAI analytics solutions, conducting analytics to provide data-driven insights, and/or leading initiatives in experimentation, measurement, and advanced machine learning to support global Ads Marketing programs. 
  • Frame and translate business questions into appropriate analytical studies, owning the projects end-to-end, covering problem definition, metrics development, data extraction and manipulation, visualization/dashboarding, and implementation of analytical/statistical models, as well as presentation to stakeholders with actionable recommendations. 
  • Be trusted advisor and thought leader to key cross-functional stakeholders and global team colleagues through insights and recommendations to achieve strategic business goals, and remove obstacles for the team for data pipelines/workflows, experiments and other projects.
  • Focus on growing and elevating skills of a high-performing team.
